The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) successfully held a meeting with the Arunachal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) on 10th August 2026 at the Administrative Block, ATI, Naharlagun.
The meeting focused on strengthening women-centric administrative reforms for their empowerment, protection, equal participation and socio-economic upliftment.
Key areas discussed:
Strengthening institutional mechanisms for women’s welfare and protection.
Improving access to government schemes, justice and essential services.
Greater representation and participation of women in decision making.
Effective implementation of laws and policies concerning women.
Strengthening the powers and functions of APSCW for better monitoring, coordination and grievance redressal.
Ensuring gender responsive and accountable administration across Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting emphasised that administrative reforms should be inclusive, women centred and responsive to the needs of women across the state, particularly those in rural and vulnerable communities.
