Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women proudly attended the Shakti Samwad programme organised by the National Commission for Women in collaboration with Mission Shakti

The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women proudly attended the Shakti Samwad programme organised by the National Commission for Women in collaboration with Mission Shakti at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre.  

The programme focused on strengthening institutional coordination, capacity building, and the welfare and empowerment of women. The inaugural session was led by Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, Hon’ble Chairperson, NCW, who emphasised the importance of ensuring women’s safety, dignity, justice, and equal opportunities. The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State, who highlighted the significance of coordinated institutional efforts, as well as the role of science and technology, in advancing women-led development. 

The programme featured several important sessions, including State Law Review from a Women’s Rights Perspective by Sh. Manmohan Verma, Law Officer, NCW, Recent Supreme Court and High Court Judgments on Women by Ms. Radhika Chakravarthy, Additional Secretary, NCW, Addressing Stalking – Legal & Institutional Response by Shri Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS, DGP Law & Order, Telangana; and Women and the New Labour Codes: Safeguarding Rights, Welfare and Workplace Dignity by Sh. P.K. Jeena, Director, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
