Today Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) held a crucial meeting with DC Capital Complex, Shri Toko Babu APCS (AG), SP Capital Complex, Shri Jummar Basar (APPS), and SP Naharlagun, Dr. Nyelam Nega (APPS) to address serious concerns regarding women’s safety and the rising immoral activities in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).

We are thankful to all the officials for their valuable time and cooperation. The Commission submitted a memorandum highlighting the alarming connection between drug abuse, prostitution, and the increasing spread of HIV, and urged for strict regulation of nightclub operating hours and prohibition of underage entry. 

All officials appreciated the Commission’s proactive step and assured full cooperation and joint efforts to ensure a safer, disciplined, and morally secure environment for women and youth in the Capital Region.
